Attempts are being made to move about 50 of the refugees detained by Australia in Papua New Guinea into community housing .
Since August, the refugees have been staying in hotels and motels in Port Moresby after almost all were moved off the island.
There was an attempt to move a group into the community last week but that failed and the Refugee Action Coalition's Ian Rintoul says the latest effort was made on Tuesday.
