WorkSafe New Zealand has extended a formal commitment to help keep Pacific workers healthy and safe at work.
The Puataunofo 'Come Home Safely' programme had been operating in a limited fashion for 13 years.
The national Puataunofo advisor, Hans Key, says it was a proven success in the manufacturing sector in South Auckland but he told Don Wiseman they saw a need in other high risk occupations.
