A government initiative to help find young Pacific people in New Zealand jobs or training is being expanded to more regional areas.
The programme, Tupu Aotearoa, is currently available in South Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty, in the upper North Island.
But Pacific Peoples minister Aupito William Sio says $NZ8.85 million from the government's Provincial Growth Fund would expand it to regional centres, including Hawke's Bay, Southland and Otago.
