Polynesians to get better access to essential medicines

Polynesian countries have welcomed New Zealand's help to improve the islanders' access to essential medicines.

The New Zealand Government announced an injection of more than $US5 million to support Pacific people live healthier lives.

The funding is expected to improve pharmaceutical management capability, implement data management software, and improve essential medicines lists and alignment of medical procurement systems across the six Polynesian countries.
