The head of the body running Bougainville's independence referendum says it's important that people are aware of the consultation process after the vote.
Polling for Bougainville's vote on independence from Papua New Guinea starts in late November.
The two options on the ballot paper are greater autonomy or independence for Bougainville.
The Bougainville Referendum Commission's chairman, Bertie Ahern, says he feels in general there is good awareness about the options and the referendum process.
Mr Ahern, a former Irish Prime Minister, spoke to Johnny Blades who asked him about preparation for the vote.
