A heavy metal band from the Solomon Islands is bucking the trend of island reggae dominance in the Melanesian country.
The Sons of Solomon, not to be confused with the New Zealand reggae band, who released their latest single this year, are leading the charge of talented young musicians bucking the common misconception that islanders only like reggae, hip hop and r&b and gospel music.
Koroi Hawkins travelled to the Solomon Islands earlier this year for the National Elections and while there met up with the band.
