The head of Papua New Guinea's EMTV News has got his job back at the free to air channel after being sacked two days earlier.

On Tuesday the news bulletin was cancelled for the first time in 30 years as reporters protested Neville Choi's firing.

EMTV's Lae Bureau Chief, Scott Waide, spoke to Jenny Meyer on Thurday morning about the background behind the news stoush and the struggle for press freedom in PNG.
