An academic says better education about Blackbirding in Solomon Islands could help to heal pain caused by the practice that's still felt today.
David Gegeo says thousands of Solomon Islanders were kidnapped and later contracted to work in Australia in the 18-hundreds.
Dr Gegeo told Ben Robinson Drawbridge history lessons in the Solomons only focus on the so called benefits of Blackbirding.
