Pacific people dying from lack of cancer treatment

From , 3:05 pm on 6 August 2019

Medical researchers say thousands of Pacific people are dying from a lack of cancer treatment.

They say there is little or no treatment available in many Pacific countries for what are easily treatable cancers.

The research report, which has involved many prominent doctors from around the Pacific, is being presented today at a conference of Pacific Health Ministers being held in Tahiti.

One of the co-authors of the research, Otago University's Aiono Alec Ekeroma told Don Wiseman about just how pervasive the lack of services is.
