Trees being planted in Samoa as a carbon off-set

The Samoa Conservation Society is a small NGO which is driving a carbon off-set project jointly with the government.

Meteorology directors and officials meeting in Samoa this week planted trees at the weekend as part of their plan to offset the carbon footprint they made in flying to  Apia.

Moera Tuilaepa-Taylor is in Samoa and spoke to technical officer at the society, Christine Tuioti Mariner.
