Tuvalu remains on high alert for dengue which has killed two children in the past three months; Habitat for Humanity will soon expand its post disaster shelter research into Vanuatu after sucessfully developing a comprehensive planning tool in Fiji over the past year; the Pacific Conference of Churches joined Protestants from French Polynesia at the United Nations last month to criticise the world body for its lack of action over the decolonisation process and to get reparations for the victims of the French nuclear weapons tests; the New Zealand government is inviting people and agencies from around the Pacific region to have their say on how the aid programme can improve, and; with Samoa surging to second on the medal table at the end of the first week of the Pacific Games, the host's most senior member talks about his archery team winning Samoa's first gold medal.
