No substantial change predicted for Pacific after ScoMo win in Australian election

No substantial change ... that's the prediction for Australia's engagement in the region after the surprise Coalition win in the country's general election at the weekend.

But some observers say the returning prime minister Scott Morrison will have more room to manouevre this term on the sticky issue of climate change.

Shane McLeod of the Australian thinktank, the Lowy Institute, told Sally Round Mr Morrison is being urged to move boldly on climate to improve relationships with Pacific neighbours.
