Fijian PhD student focuses on how climate change impacts SMEs

A PhD student hopes his research will lead to more support and protection for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (or SMEs) in Fiji against climate change disasters.

Sivendra Michael, who is from Lautoka, is in the second year of his PhD at Auckland University, which looks at the disaster resiliency of Fijian SMEs - particularly in Ba province.

He talked to Tim Glasgow about his research.
