Officials in American Samoa have called for the territory to diversify its economy or face a potential economic disaster.
The American Samoa Commerce Department this month said if the last tuna cannery closes, it will suffer a deep and unrecoverable recession.
The findings were part of a 66-page draft report of its economic development strategy for the next four years.
A planner with American Samoa's Commerce Department, Michael McDonald, said the report is intended to be a call to action.
He explained to Mackenzie Smith how the government plans to diversify its economy.
