The Asian Development Bank has painted quite a positive view of Papua New Guinea's economy.

After several sluggish years, the ADB says the PNG economy, buoyed by higher prices for oil, gas and minerals, began to see improvements in 2018.

The ADB country economist in PNG, Edward Faber, told Don Wiseman the bank expects even better figures this year on the back of a return to full production in the resource sector, after last year's Highlands earthquake cut output by 10 percent.
