Global awareness of clerical child sexual abuse is beginning to have an impact on churches in the Pacific region.
It's been a confronting time for the Catholic church recently with the Pope's recent summit at the Vatican on sex abuse and an Australian Cardinal being jailed for paedophilia.
The extent of child abuse by the church within the Pacific is unknown but increased public awareness has some raising questions on how to keep children safe and prevent the betrayal of trust and faith.
