A UN-supported rollout of social services to remote communities has been extended to Tonga.

The REACH mobile service offers legal aid, family protection, electoral roll registration and other assistance to rural and vulnerable groups.

Tevita Dawai, a deputy programme manager with the UN development programme, says since the service launched in Fiji in 2015, it has reached more than 37,000 people.

He told Mackenzie Smith what it would achieve.
