Manus Island 'smeared' by refugee detention

A church leader on Papua New Guinea's Manus Island says its reputation has been smeared and its people need to be compensated.

Michael Kuweh is a layman and spokesperson for the Catholic Diocese of Manus.

Ben Robinson Drawbridge spoke with Mr Kuweh, who says the indefinite detention of refugees on the island has tarnished it in the eyes of the world.
