International observers interim findings in Fiji branded "bogus"

From , 6:03 am on 22 November 2018

An opposition leader in Fiji says it's ridiculous for international observers to have called the recent election credible and transparent.

The Multinational Observer Group comprised 77 observers, some of whom monitored the election run-up and early voting.

The remainder arrived for the main day of voting on Wednesday.

On Friday the group gave an interim report which said the process to date had been transparent and credible and that it had confidence voters had been able to exercise their right to vote freely

The National Federation Party's Biman Prasad told Sally Round the group had ignored a whole set of issues.
