Rubbish dumping in Rarotonga's public areas is getting worse with over a tonne of waste recently collected in a two day clean up effort.
Hilary Boyes a Waste Management Coordinator for Infrastructure Cook Islands, is on assignment with VSA, and says the event highlights the extent of illegal dumping and the amount of waste in and around the ocean.
She spoke to Jenny Meyer about the clean up and the rubbish issue.
