A New Zealand Minister has confirmed his government will assist Tokelau with building up sea walls and other defences against climate change; a Pacific-wide development agency says money aimed at climate change is not reaching the region's poorest and most vulnerable; the Australian Conservation Foundation says emissions data showing a rise in climate pollution of 1.3 per cent in the year to March 2018 was delayed by several weeks by the Australian government; an academic who was part of a Nobel Prize-winning campaign for a treaty against nuclear weapons says more research needs to be done into the effects of nuclear testing in the wider Pacific, and; Papua New Guinea's East New Britain governor says having more autonomy will mean his province exerts more control of its own finances.
