With Fiji's general election set to take place in six weeks, several political parties are still in talks about forming a partnership to fight the polls.

That's according to the leader of the Freedom Alliance Party which is one of eight parties vying for 51 parliamentary seats.

Jagath Karunaratne told Sally Round going it alone is challenging under the present system which requires a party to get at least five percent of the vote before it can gain a seat.
