An Air Niugini plane has ended up in a lagoon off Weno airport in Chuuk in the Federated States of Micronesia.
An officer with the Federated States of Micronesia National police has told RNZ Pacific all aboard are reported to be safe.
Our correspondent in neighbouring Marshall Islands Giff Johnson told Sally Round the plane appears to have overshot the runway as it arrived from Pohnpei.
