Twenty babies and children in Fiji are preparing for life saving cardiac surgery next week when a surgical team from New Zealand arrives to repair their damaged hearts.
Dr Kirsten Finucane from Auckland's Starship Hospital is heading a team of thirty surgeons and nurses who have travelled annually to Fiji for the past five years to save the lives of children who struggle with heart problems.
She talked to Jenny Meyer before leaving for Fiji about the work supported by the Heart Kids charity and the children they help.
