The World Health Organisation (WHO) has launched a campaign to combat smoking in the Pacific by engaging with businesses.
Tobacco use causes three deaths a minute in the WHO's Western Pacific division which includes Pacific island countries as well as China, Mongolia, Japan and several south-east Asian countries.
It is calling on businesses in the Pacific to lead change by pledging their commitment to smoke-free workplaces.
The campaign's coordinator Kate Lannan told Mackenzie Smith, the WHO is wary of engaging governments in the Pacific as they are swayed by the tobacco industry.
