The biggest Melanesian Arts and culture Festival is now underway in Honiara ,Solomon Islands.
More than 1,500 people are taking part in this year's festival, which aims to promote and preserve Melanesian culture.
The Director of Government Communication, George Herming talked to USP media student Elizabeth Osifelo about the aims for the festival.
