A Samoan artist is creating Polynesian designs and tattoos using just four computer keyboard characters.
Vaimaila Urale's contemporary take on Samoan tattooing is called Typeface and features a body of work including paintings and murals which has shown in exibitions in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
Her latest exhibition involved a live tattoo session at the enjoy gallery in Wellington.
