A Samoan girl born with severe congenital abnormalities, who defied all odds to live for more than a decade, has died peacefully and being laid to rest this week.
Known to many as Baby Miracle, Julie Nanai was born in Samoa in September 2007 but was only expected to live for a few hours.
She had major facial deformities, including a cleft palate, spina bifida and eyes that were misshapen.
Part of her brain was also missing.
Her parents shared their daughter's story in the media, appealing for help and financial assistance and touched hearts world wide.
Our correspondent in Samoa, Autagavaia Tipi Autagavaia told Sara Vui-Talitu he's covered Julie Nani's incredibly heartwarming story since she was born.
