New Zealand's Foreign Minister has underlined the importance of maintaining a strong presence in the Pacific Islands region.
Nine years since his last stint as foreign Minister, Winston Peters resumed the role late last year in the new Labour-led government
Mr Peters was interviewed for RNZ's Waitangi Day special by Chris Wikaira who asked for his views about influence in the Pacific.
