The United Nations Development Programme representative in Papua New Guinea has called for greater efforts to get the government budget executed properly.
Roy Trivedy says provincial administrations and key government departments commonly complain about not getting their budgetted funds on time.
Mr Trivedy says typically only around 40 to 60 per cent delivery of earmarked funds ends up being dispensed.
