Manus detainees will die on island rather than move

Manus Island refugees say they are determined to stay on the island's detention centre - even if it means dying there.

Papua New Guinea's Supreme Court yesterday rejected an application to restore power, water and food to the centre, which was officially shut down last week.

Almost 600 refugees are in the centre.

One of the refugees, Sudanese man Abdul Aziz Adam told Kim Hill the refugees are united.
