Manus Island detainee move 'recipe for disaster' - Doctor

The advocacy group Doctors for Refugees says moving Manus Island detainees to the island's town is a recipe for disaster.

With Australia closing its Papua New Guinea detention centre at the end of the month, the detainees have been told they'll be shifted to three buildings in nearby Lorengau.

Some form of health service will be available at one of the buildings for the men, who've been allocated four weeks of medication for the transition.

Ben Robinson Drawbridge spoke with Doctors for Refugees president Barri Phatarfod, who says such an allocation of medication could be dangerous.
