Guam students may study self-determination

From , 5:04 am on 14 July 2017

Guam's department of education and the Commission for Decolonisation are planning to add the topic of decolonisation and self determination to the school curriculum.

The Statehood Task Force has questioned whether this is a wise move, since a plebiscite on self determination could be held before most of the students are eligible to vote.

The groups meet later this week but there's no word as to when this curriculum change might happen.

The Commission for Decolonisation's executive director Amanda Blas spoke to Sela Jane Aholelei about the plan.
