HIV prevalence in PNG worries UN agency

The UNAIDS office in Papua New Guinea has expressed distress at the country's climbing HIV prevalence.

According to UNAIDS, latest statistics in PNG estimate that almost 47,000 people are infected with HIV in a country whose population is about 8 million.

UNAIDS' Country Director Stuart Watson says that there's been an increase of 10,000 of people with HIV in the past two years.

He spoke to Johnny Blades
