Niue looking for more international flights

The Niue tourism industry appears to be going from strength to strength with the government to seek twice weekly flights to the island, year round.

Niue, with significant help from New Zealand, has put a lot of emphasis on growing its tourism industry; there are more activities; more accommodation sites, and more people are visiting.

The island has an arrangement with Air New Zealand underwriting the two flights that operate in the peak months from April to October, with just one flight a week in the remaining part of the year.

The Premier Toke Talagi says they want two flights year round and Don Wiseman asked if they had raised the matter with the airline.
