Anti-corruption gaining momentum in the Pacific: UN

The fight against corruption is gaining momentum in the Pacific according to the UNDP regional office in Fiji.

Oceania is the only region in the world to have completed all peer reviews under the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

Yesterday saw the launch of the second phase of the United Nations Pacific Regional Anti-Corruption project which will provide $US4.3 million over four years to try and further mainstream its initiatives.

Koroi Hawkins spoke with UNDPs anti-corruption specialist Mihaela Stojkoska and began by asking how big a problem corruption was in the Pacific.
