The Superior Court of the Northern Marianas has extended an order stopping the government from either denying or approving a casino licence.
The Associate Judge David Wiseman extended the order without elaborating.
Judge Wiseman issued the order on Thursday after casino applicant Marianas Stars Entertainment filed a lawsuit and requested the order, saying it will be irreparably harmed if the government is released from the order, pending the resolution of its case.
Marianas Stars Entertainment's motion will be heard on July the 1st.
Marianas Stars and Best Sunshine International are both seeking an exclusive Saipan casino resort developer licence.
