An investigation into allegations against Papua New Guinea's suspended Police Commissioner Gari Baki has been completed.

The chief secretary says the final report, including specific recommendations, will be presented to the National Executive Council this week.

Mr Baki was suspended last month for allegedly misleading senior government members to release nearly four million US dollars for special operations at the ExxonMobil Liquefied Natural Gas site in the Highlands region.

He was also accused of allowing the police force to be run down, leading to a general break-down in law and order.
