Police in Samoa say they are searching for the body of a 10-year old girl believed to have been dumped at sea off Savaii.
Reports say before she disappeared she was allegedly raped by a 15-year old boy who is now facing a murder charge.
The assistant police commissioner, Papalii Li'o, has told local media the incident took place on the evening of New Year's Day at Tafua -Tai village.
