Pilots for Air Moorea in French Polynesia are set to launch an indefinite strike tomorrow if their pay demands aren't met.
The news agency Tahitipresse reports the pilots want a salary increase of nine and a quarter per cent and a automatic quota of staff to be taken on from the parent company Air Tahiti.
The director of Air Moorea, Freddy Chanseau, says the pay demand is illegitimate, and implementing the hiring quota will take at least 14 months.
It's the second threat of strike action within the space of a month.
Air Moorea says in the event of industrial action it will use Air Tahiti planes, and tourists on Moorea will be shuttled to Vaiare port where a boat will take them to Tahiti.
