Some American Samoa government employees who should have received their paycheque by direct debit on Tuesdsay, faced unexpected delays.
The delay affected employees with the ANZ Amerika Samoa Bank.
A spokesperson for the ANZ bank said the delay was because the government was late in transferring the funds.
Affected employees have been told that their paychecks should be in their accounts on Wednesday.
