The Indonesian Government has barred all foreign journalists from the troubled province of Papua.
A government committee made the decision on the 23rd of September but didn't announce the ruling until this week after two Western journalists had their applications to go to the province rejected.
A foreign affairs representative says the decision has been made for security reasons but would not comment further.
Indonesia has long been sensitive about foreign reporting from Papua, where separatists are fighting a sporadic war against the military.
Despite the ban on reporters, foreign tourists remain free to travel to Papua without restrictions.
