President of American Samoa's Senate dies

The President of the Senate in American Samoa, Lutu T. Fuimaono, has died at his home in the village of Fagatogo.

He was 74.

Lutu first entered the Senate in 1977 and in 1996 became the Senate President, to complete the term of the late former president Letuli Toloa, who also died while office.
