The Samoan Government has confirmed it will host the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders summit in August this year.
The meeting was scheduled to be held on Niue but the damage caused there by Cyclone Heta made that impossible.
Apia will host the meeting of Pacific leaders and officials from August 5th to 7th.
The Government has announced the establishment of a Forum Task Force to prepare for the summit and the related meetings and programmes.
The Task Force has been charged with ensuring it is a successful and enjoyable occasion.
