Argentinian pianist Pablo Ziegler is considered one of the finest exponents of Tango music in the world today and a leading light of the Tango Nuevo style. He worked closely for many years with Tango giant Astor Piazzolla and was a member of the composer's Tango Quintet for the last years of Piazzolla's life. Ziegler is a Grammy Award winning artist in his own right and was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards just last year. He's in New Zealand at the moment for the Wellington Jazz Festival and will perform tonight with the Bravo Ensemble and Orchestra Wellington. Emma Smith from Radio NZ National's Music 101 programme caught up with Pablo Ziegler at his hotel yesterday.
