From Upbeat, 1:02 pm on 20 May 2014

Viola player Bryony Gibson-Cornish is back in New Zealand this week, for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra's "Discovery" concert. She will perform a new work custom-written by local composer Phillip Norman, alongside the APO and conductor Ken Young. The Discovery concert is one of many APO happenings this week and forms part of the Connecting in Action series of education events. Bryony Gibson-Cornish is the APO Young Soloist of the year, which brings her home from New York, where she's currently studying at the Juilliard School.
