David Selfe – originally from the UK – is a pianist, composer, musical director, and producer who runs a concert venue and recording studio based in a former dairy factory in Norsewood.
Upbeat caught up with David to talk about the Silent Movie Festival coming up at The Old Dairy Factory in January.
David and percussionist Jeremy Fitzsimons will be providing the musical accompaniment to two Charlie Chaplin movies on a variety of instruments including a musical saw.
"People love having a good time," says David. "Seeing somebody trying to play the saw... we've seen people fall over laughing!"
"It is entertaining, and I think that's important. Music should take people somewhere else."
