The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra has just launched their 2022 Season: 44 performances across 10 venues, from February to December.
The 2022 programme promises a blend of the old and the new, with established favourites and familiar soloists alongside exciting new works and performers. Many of the featured artists and conductors are overseas-based, in anticipation of the borders opening up again, but there's also a significant focus on deserving New Zealand-bred talent.
Nick Tipping spoke to the APO's Director of Artistic Planning, Gale Mahood, about the programme and what's involved in creating it.
