130 years ago in 1891, the Band of the Loyal Perseverance Lodge of the Manchester Independent Order of Oddfellows was founded. With the name soon changed to a more manageable 'Woolston Brass Band', it’s been a vital presence in the Christchurch musical scene ever since. Further afield, too, as Woolston Brass is one of New Zealand’s most successful contesting bands.
Upbeat spoke with two of the Band’s current members, the husband and wife team of Caroline and Todd Turner.
