Opera singers Amina Edris and Pene Pati are a dynamic duo, both on and off the stage. The pair had been busy building international careers in America and Europe until Covid-19 forced theatres around the world to close.
Determined to keep positive and to keep singing, they returned home to New Zealand late last year and are making the most of their new-found freedom. After a stint tutoring at the Wanganui Opera School, they took to the road delighting audiences around the North Island with their Dare to Dream concert tour.
This weekend they perform a beautiful selection of art song and operatic arias and ensembles in the Auckland Town Hall Concert Chamber.
Clarissa Dunn caught up with them to find out all about it.
